515 PERMITTED TEE
- Description
This one’s more than just a shirt.
Back in March, 515 Run Club got an email that didn’t really sit right. We were told we needed a permit… just to run in a public park. A free park. A place that’s supposed to be for everyone.
According to Parks & Rec, us showing up and running together meant we were breaking the rules.
So we went back and read the rules. Then we even had a legal team take a look — just to be sure.
Yeah… we weren’t violating anything.
But somehow it still came back to this: $1 per person, just to show up and run.
And that’s never been what this is about.
515 has always just been people getting together once a week — running, talking, catching up on life, and going home. No fees, no barriers, nothing like that. Just community.
So yeah, this shirt tells that whole story.
The front says “PERMITTED” — because apparently that’s what we need now.
The back says it straight up: “NO MONEY, NO RUNNING.”
That’s the message we got… so we figured we’d send one back too.
We might be a “permitted” run club now — but we’re not forgetting how we got there.
